How It Works

Bio Works products make use of an ancient idea of pest management that takes advantage of predatory insect species.
The practice date’s back to the ancient Chinese, who used to employ the help of natural predators and parasites in their citrus orchards.

Our predators actively hunt down and eat spider mites, thrips and other soil dwelling pests that take a liking to eating your plants. We can also help with and your avian, arachnid and reptile pets and fur babies.

Known commonly as biological control some accomplished horticultural producers have been using this method in an Integrated Pest Management program for decades.

Here at Bio Works we breed different species of predatory mites so that you too can utilise this very effective pest management tool yourself should you be suffering from thrips, spider mites or a soil/media infestations of fungas gnats, root aphids and root mealy bug. It is completely safe and environmentally friendly.

The predatory mites are very easy to apply and get to work immediately at eating the pests eating your plants. Early detection is the key to fast effective biological pest management.
It is a numbers game, so if you have lots of two spotted mite (red spider mite) for instance you will require more spider mite predators (persimilis) to eat through your population of pests in a timely fashion before too much damage is inflicted upon your plants.
